These procedures are performed with limited supervision and assumes responsibility for standards regarding equipment operation and safety.Nature and ScopeThe Ultrasound Technologist independently operates sonographic equipment and processes diagnostic images according to operation and safety procedures. They are responsible for accurate and consistent quality images using fixed or mobile equipment. We offer a range of minimally invasive outpatient vein treatments. Treatment is tailored to your symptoms, vein anatomy, and ultrasound findings, and may include:Radiofrequency ablation (RFA): uses heat to close refluxing veinsVenaSeal: medical adhesive used to seal abnormal veinsVarithena: ultrasound-guided foam used to treat diseased veinsUltrasound-guided sclerotherapy: targeted injection therapy for symptomatic veinsMicro-Stab (ambulatory) phlebectomy: removal of bulging varicose veins through small incisionsQualifications Associate’s or bachelor’s degree required. Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonographer program. Registered (or registry eligible) sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS). Training and skills to use ultrasound equipment to examine blood vessels in order to aid in Physician’s making clinic decisionsAssist with Vascular Office Procedures. Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Detail oriented and ability to prioritize work effectively. Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and patient experience standards. BLS Certified at the time of employment, or within the first 3 months.
