Join Gentle Gratitude as we prepare to help local students start the school year feeling prepared, confident, and supported!
Our annual Refuel for School event will provide grade-school and college students with backpacks, school supplies, hygiene products, feminine products, refreshments, and more — all at no cost to participating families.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us make the day run smoothly. We anticipate welcoming approximately 300 community members throughout the event, so we need a strong team of volunteers to help us serve our students and families with care.

Event: 1:00 PM–3:00 PM
Volunteer Responsibilities
Volunteers may assist with:
- Setting up and breaking down the event
- Sorting and organizing school supplies
- Packing student backpacks
- Helping students find the appropriate table or service area
- Distributing backpacks and school supplies
- Assisting students with selecting feminine and hygiene products
- Helping with refreshments
- Supporting crowd flow and general event organization
- Keeping tables and distribution areas organized
- Providing friendly, welcoming assistance to students and families
You may be asked to assist wherever help is needed throughout the event.
