Description

We are seeking a skilledCommercial Refrigeration Technician with proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and installing commercial refrigeration systems. You must possess strong technical knowledge, a MA refrigeration license, and a commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations. We work mostly in wastewater plants, plants, and schools.

Location: MA

Pay: $75-100/hr- ALL WORK WILL BE PREVAILING WAGE WORK IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR IN MA

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation & Setup
• Conduct site assessments and ensure proper placement, electrical connections, and insulation.
• Configure control systems and verify operational efficiency.
• Maintenance & Repair
• Perform routine maintenance: clean coils, replace filters, inspect electrical components, and check refrigerant levels.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues.
• Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures.
• Compliance & Safety
• Adhere toOSHA ,NSF/ANSI 7 , andEPA Section 608 standards.
• Handle refrigerants safely and legally, ensuring proper recovery, recycling, and disposal.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Customer Service & Communication
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding system performance, repairs, and energy efficiency.
• Provide recommendations for upgrades or preventive maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols and walk-in cooler design standards.
• Valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, and clean background.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with energy-efficient systems and environmentally friendly refrigerants.
• Knowledge of building codes and refrigeration regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
