Refrigeration TechnicianCardinal Staffing has a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with JH Routh Packing, a Daisey Field company. Currently seeking a Refrigeration Technician.Job Summary:The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to troubleshooting and repairing heating, ventilation, air, and refrigeration equipment involving ammonia or other refrigerants adhering to safety standards, performing daily checks on refrigeration systems/equipment, cleaning and changing filters while observing all safety regulations and ensuring GMP and quality standards are met.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation, air, and refrigeration equipment involving ammonia.Perform daily checks on all refrigeration systems/equipment as required.Perform scheduled maintenance on evaporators and condensers.Change and clean filters in a timely manner.Monitor, clean, and repair plant systems (e.g., condensers, filtrations, etc.).Requisition parts and supplies as needed.Inspect and clean work areas using proper tools according to policy and procedure.Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.Maintain and complete all required documentation following OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements (e.g., logs, records, checklist, etc.).May perform other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsAdvanced troubleshooting skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to solve problems independentlyKnowledge of Plant safety, GMP'sKnowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)Ability to be LOTO/PIT/confined space certifiedAbility to be respirator trainedAbility to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for positionRegular attendance to ensure production requirements are metAbility to read blueprints, drawings, plansKnowledge of Planned MaintenanceExcellent leadership skillsExcellent communication skillsMust be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to work individually as well as with others as a teamIntermediate math skillsBasic computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheetsAbility to complete work/purchase requestsMinimum 2 years of refrigeration maintenance or related experience required.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift push or pull up to 75 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, and reachAbility to work in cold, wet, hot, and noisy environmentsAbility to work around machinery and moving equipmentWork EnvironmentMeat processing/manufacturing facilityExposure to:Cold and wet production areasExtremely Hot production areasMechanical equipment and conveyorsElectrical systemsBoiler/engine room conditionsNoise and industrial hazardsShift & Schedule:Shift: (1st: 6:00am / 2nd: 2:00pm / 3rd: 10:00pm) Schedule: Monday to Saturday, you will work up to 10 to 12 hours a dayAbout Cardinal StaffingAt Cardinal Staffing, a Sure-Staff Company, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
