Position Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas TechUniversity Health Sciences Center, Lubbock TX, is seeking arecurrent faculty member to serve as an Embryologist. Candidatesmust have a terminal degree related to Laboratory-AssistedReproductive Technology (ART). Successful candidates will haveexpertise in the field of clinical ART and will work with theLaboratory and our Reproductive Endocrinology Division as we expandour infertility services.

Major/Essential Functions

• Perform all embryology and andrology skills necessary tomaintain the operation of the ART Laboratory, including both ICSIand embryo biopsy.
• Maintain and perform maintenance on all ART laboratoryequipment, including daily QC and QM tasks.
• Work a flexible work schedule to maintain the services of theART Laboratory.
• Assist the laboratory director in maintaining al regulatoryrequirements of the ART Lab.
• Train students, residents, and staff in any and all of theabove.
• Lecture students and residents as assigned by the departmentchair or laboratory directory on subjects in his/herexpertise.
