The Florida Conservation Corps (FLCC) is seeking an energetic, motivated AmeriCorps member to serve as a R.O.A.R. (Recruitment, Outreach, and Resource Stewardship) Member supporting three unique Florida State Parks along the Gulf Coast.
This is far more than a volunteer position—it is an opportunity to develop professional skills while helping preserve Florida's natural and cultural resources for future generations.
What You'll Do
As an AmeriCorps R.O.A.R. Member, you will:
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers.
- Assist with volunteer appreciation and recognition events.
- Develop educational and interpretive programs for visitors.
- Help organize community outreach events and volunteer workdays.
- Assist with social media, marketing, and promotional materials.
- Support the Friends of Koreshan State Park Citizen Support Organization.
- Coordinate and assist with special events and festivals.
- Participate in trail maintenance, habitat restoration, and resource stewardship projects.
- Assist with historical interpretation within Koreshan State Park's preserved 19th-century settlement.
- Work alongside park staff, volunteers, and community partners to improve visitor experiences.
