Traffic Control Flagger (Seasonal / Part-Time / On-Call)
Penmac Staffing is currently hiring Traffic Control Flaggers to assist with traffic safety at construction and road work sites. This position is seasonal, part-time, and on-call, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work during the construction season.
Traffic Control Flaggers play a critical role in maintaining safe traffic flow through construction zones while protecting workers, drivers, and pedestrians.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely guide vehicles and pedestrians through construction zones using a double-sided Stop/Slow sign
- Stand for extended periods while directing traffic flow
- Communicate with fellow flaggers and crew members using two-way radios to coordinate safe traffic movement
- Remain alert to changing traffic conditions and follow all safety protocols
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the site supervisor
Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10–12+ hours per shift) while holding traffic control signage
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and other seasonal elements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required(employees must drive to assigned job sites)
- Strong attention to safety and the ability to follow instructions

Pay
- $18 – $22.74 + per hour, depending on job assignment and location (Prevailing Wage Jobs pay will increase- must work rotation of shifts/pay to qualify to work these higher paying jobs)
