Operations Leader (Production Supervisor)Location: Vandergrift, Pennsylvania (Onsite) Work Schedule: 5 Days/Week Onsite (M–F Day Shift) Overtime: Premium pay for off-shifts & weekends Positions: 3Experience Required: 4 – 12 Years The Operations Leader (Production Supervisor) is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency within assigned production areas. This role requires strong leadership in a heavy industrial environment, with a focus on continuous improvement, equipment reliability, and workforce supervision. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in steel, metals, or similar process industries and the ability to lead a diverse hourly workforce.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Production ManagementOversee daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and output targetsEnsure availability and proper functioning of equipment for on-time deliveryCoordinate plant operations with internal and external stakeholdersContinuous Improvement & Process OptimizationLead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle timeSupport implementation of process automation and operational efficienciesDrive improvements in annealing and pickling processesMaintenance & ReliabilityImplement maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliabilityReduce downtime and quality issues caused by line stoppagesModify electrical systems based on operational needsTeam Leadership & SupervisionSupervise and support hourly workforceProvide technical guidance and training to team membersCreate cross-training opportunities across operationsSafety & ComplianceEnforce safety standards and housekeeping protocolsEnsure compliance with company and regulatory guidelinesMaintain high standards of operational disciplineMust-Have QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technical Field OR Minimum 4+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience Experience in heavy industrial / manufacturing environment (steel, metals, chemicals, etc.) Strong leadership experience managing production teams Ability to work flexible schedules (including off-shifts/weekends)Preferred QualificationsExperience with PLCs, motor control centers, drives, power distribution Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints Experience in process manufacturing (annealing, pickling, coil processing)Core CompetenciesLeadership & team management Strong problem-solving skills Process improvement mindset Communication & coordination Time management & prioritizationWork EnvironmentHeavy industrial / manufacturing plantOnsite role (5 days/week)May require off-shift and weekend supportAdditional RequirementsMust be open to onsite work in Vandergrift, PAMust be eligible to work in the U.S.
