Remote Part Time General

Associate EMS Medical DirectorWork Type: Hybrid (Onsite + Remote) Primary Worksite: 2051 Kaen Road, Oregon City, OR 97045Contract Type: Part-Time ContractWork Hours: ~6+ Hours/WeekContract Duration: 1-year initial + four (4) optional 1-year renewals (up to 5 years)Associate EMS Medical Directors to provide medical direction, clinical oversight, education, and system improvement support across the entire countywide EMS system. This includes dispatch centers, fire agencies, ambulance providers, hospitals, clinics, and first responder teams. The Associate EMS Medical Director will support the EMS Medical Director in enhancing clinical quality, protocol development, QI reviews, provider education, and multi-agency coordination.

This role includes a hybrid schedule, requiring in-person fieldwork such as ride-alongs, dispatch sit-alongs, training sessions, and site visits, combined with remote duties such as documentation review, virtual meetings, and protocol development.Key Work LocationsDispatch Centers: C-COM (Clackamas County Communications)LOCOM (Lake Oswego Communications)Fire Agencies across Clackamas CountyAmbulance Provider SitesHospitals & ClinicsField EMS Ride-Alongs & Site VisitsRemote Work: virtual meetings, protocol reviews, QI documentationGeneral ResponsibilitiesProvide EMS medical direction and serve as an EMS medical advisor.Support countywide EMS system oversight, including dispatch, fire, and ambulance services.Participate in the EMS advisory board, protocol committees, and multidisciplinary meetings.Develop and deliver EMS education and training programs.Contribute to the countywide Quality Improvement (QI) program.Conduct case reviews and evaluate provider performance.Participate in ride-alongs, dispatch sit-alongs, and EMS field evaluations.Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule for urgent EMS matters.Assist with development of protocols, disaster response plans, mobile integrated healthcare (MIH), telemedicine, and data dashboards.Promote provider wellness, just culture, and system equity.Specific Responsibilities (Based on Assignment)1.
