This role also includes counseling candidates on their career goals, maintaining positive relationships with both clients and candidates, and ensuring accurate and timely communication. The Recruiter is expected to maintain 1,500+ hours billed per week. Recruiters are expected to recruit "The WorkSmart Way"—with professionalism, urgency, consistency, and care—in a manner that reflects and upholds our company values.
This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCandidate Sourcing & Engagement (70%)Proactively source qualified candidates from the ATS and external job boardsReach out to potential candidates via phone, text, or email to initiate the screening processMeet or exceed outbound communication targets (calls/texts/emails) to ensure a steady candidate pipelineScreen and document candidates' ability to assess basic qualifications, interest, and availabilityConduct job counseling sessions in an appropriate and timely mannerFollowing The WorkSmart Way from initial candidate engagement through placement and reemploymentClient Engagement and Retention (30%)Actively track associate attendance for assigned clients; identify trends and proactively recruit to maintain appropriate staffing levels.Prepare and deliver reports as required by the client's tier level, ensuring accuracy andEngage clients through regular phone calls, emails, and scheduled in-person visits to build trust and ensure alignment.Serve as the first point of contact for any workers' comp incidents or client escalations, following the 1-3-1 method (issue, options, recommended solution).Anticipate potential challenges, recommend solutions to prevent issues, and support the client in achieving staffing and operational goals.Onboarding & Process Coordination (5%)Ensure initial onboarding and all forms are properly completed and submittedEnsure drug screens are in alignment with company policy and compliance standardsPartner closely with the Front Office Onboarding Coordinator/Staffing Coordinator to ensure a smooth, efficient, and positive candidate experienceAnswer phones courteously and provide support to walk-in candidates or callers as neededEnsure background checks are in alignment with both company and client policies and follow escalation procedureAdministrative Support & Compliance (5%)Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within internal systems, including candidate knowledge scoreAssist with general office tasks and support additional staffing or recruiting initiatives as neededMaintain and audit document adherence on a daily basisCarry out all responsibilities in alignment with company values, processes, and performance expectationsQualificationsAn eager attitude to deliver exceptional customerBeing flexible and composed in high-pressureProficient with technology, including ATSAbility to learn new procedures, software, andStrong organizational skills in a fast-pacedExcellent interpersonal communication skills and strong teamwork capabilities.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementWorkSmart Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
