Recruiter – Contract
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Job Type: Full-Time | 6-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
Work Arrangement: Onsite, with potential for one remote day per week after 60–90 days
Target Start Date: November 23 or November 30, 2026
Position Overview
Connect Search is seeking an experienced Recruiter for a six-month contract opportunity in Milwaukee, WI. This individual will manage full-cycle recruiting across a variety of departments, partnering directly with hiring managers to identify, screen, interview, and hire qualified candidates.
The ideal candidate has experience managing multiple open positions, recruiting for a variety of job functions, and working in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment from job posting and sourcing through interviewing, selection, and offer coordination.
- Recruit for a variety of positions, including operations, transportation, supervisory, IT, and administrative roles.
- Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and evaluate candidate qualifications.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide candidate recommendations.
- Coordinate interviews, pre-employment testing, background checks, physicals, and drug screenings.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity in the applicant tracking system.
- Support internal transfers, promotions, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
- Participate in job fairs and community recruiting events.
- Track recruiting metrics and provide hiring updates.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of high-volume, full-cycle recruiting experience; 2+ years preferred.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) required.
- Experience recruiting for multiple types of positions.
- Strong communication, organization, and hiring manager relationship skills.
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ceridian Dayforce and Microsoft Excel experience preferred.
- Experience recruiting in a union or collective bargaining environment is a plus.
- Agency or corporate recruiting backgrounds welcome.
