About the Recreation Assistant Role

As a Recreation Assistant at the Westchester Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our patients and residents. Our facility is dedicated to providing exceptional rehabilitation and long-term care, and we are seeking a compassionate and energetic individual to join our team. Recreation Assistant Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing recreational activities, social events, and outings for patients and residents

• Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure activities align with individual patient needs and goals

• Provide support with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed

• Assist with mealtime, including setting tables, serving patients, and cleaning up

• Maintain a clean and organized environment, including the recreation room and common areas

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and staff

Recreation Assistant Requirements

• Previous experience in a healthcare or social services setting preferred

• Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
