Records Operations Supervisor – Akron, OHRoetzel & Andress is pleased to present a new opportunity for an experienced, organized, and proactive Records Operations Supervisor to join our team. This position provides day-to-day operational leadership for the Firm's Records Department while helping support the continued evolution of our records management program. Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience working in a law firm records environment and enjoy balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on operational work.
We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits.Primary ResponsibilitiesOversee daily Records Department workflow and operations.Guide, train, and support Records personnel.Monitor workloads and ensure timely completion of responsibilities.Maintain quality standards for file maintenance, scanning, retrieval, storage, and destruction.Support records procedures, workflow improvements, and technology initiatives.Assist with records inventories, retention projects, and information governance initiatives.Apply attorney departure, file transfer, and records transition procedures.Partner with leadership to promote accountability and operational excellence.Advise attorneys, legal assistants, and administrative staff on records matters.Skills, Qualifications & Educational RequirementsFive or more years of experience in legal records, information governance, or a comparable environment.Experience coordinating workflows, projects, or personnel in a legal records setting.Knowledge of legal records management, retention practices, and confidentiality requirements.Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Experience with document management systems, preferably iManage or NetDocuments.Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and other business technologies.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and manage multiple projects.Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, administrative professionals, and firm leadership.Ability to support change, implement processes, and promote technology adoption.Experience with records inventories, off-site storage, and paper-lite initiatives preferred.
