SSM Health is seeking an experienced Reconstructive Urologist or recent fellowship graduate to join their dynamic urology team in St. Louis. This unique opportunity offers the chance to be the sole reconstructive urologist within the entire SSM Health system, providing specialized care across dual locations. Practice Info
- Practice Model: 50% outpatient, 50% inpatient
- Dual footprint at Saint Louis University Hospital and SSM Health Saint Mary's Hospital
- Join a well-established urology department featuring 5 adult urologists, 2 pediatric urologists, 2 outpatient Advanced Practice Providers, 3 inpatient Advanced Practice Providers, and 5 urology residents
- SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital: Academic medical center environment
- SSM Health Saint Mary's Hospital: Community-based tertiary care facility
Responsibilities
- 2-3 half-day clinics per week
- 15-20 patients per clinic session
- Focus on reconstructive urology consultations and follow-up care
- Provide specialized reconstructive procedures including complex urethral repairs, complex urologic urinary diversion procedures, complex vesicovaginal fistula repairs, artificial urinary sphincter implantation, and penile implant procedures
- Essential role in training urology residents in reconstructive techniques (ACGME requirement)
- Mentor students with an interest in reconstructive surgery
- Support clinical research initiatives with strong resident interest
- Help maintain Level I Center status (ACS requirement for reconstructive expertise)

- Weekly Schedule: 2 days OR, 2 days outpatient clinics, day administrative, day flexible
- Call Schedule: 1:5 rotation (one weekend every five weeks)

Requirements
- Board-eligible/Board-certified Urologist
- Completed Reconstructive Urology fellowship OR experienced surgeon seeking focused practice
- Interest in resident education and academic medicine
- Commitment to providing specialized care not available elsewhere in the system
