We are looking for a Reconstruction Project Manager who can manage projects, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure high-quality work and customer satisfaction.Job SummaryThe Reconstruction Project Manager is responsible for managing residential and commercial reconstruction projects from mitigation handoff through final completion.
This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to approved scopes, insurance requirements, building codes, and company quality standards.ResponsibilitiesManage reconstruction projects from mitigation handoff through final completionReview mitigation documentation, drying logs, photos, and scopesDevelop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plansCoordinate all reconstruction trades (carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, electrical, plumbing, etc.)Conduct regular job site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safetyDevelop and maintain referral relationships with insurance adjusters, agents, and referral sourcesEstimating & Cost ControlPrepare and review reconstruction estimates and scopes using estimating software (Xactimate preferred)Submit and manage supplements and change ordersTrack job costs including labor, materials, and subcontractorsEnsure projects stay within approved budgets and marginsClient & Insurance CoordinationServe as the primary point of contact during the reconstruction phaseCommunicate with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjustersManage project timelines, scope changes, and expectationsParticipate in site meetings, inspections, and final walk-throughsSubcontractor & Vendor ManagementSchedule and supervise subcontractors and vendorsEnsure subcontractors meet quality, timeline, and safety standardsOrder materials and coordinate deliveriesResolve subcontractor performance issues when necessaryQuality Control & CloseoutEnsure work meets company standards and building codesManage punch lists and corrective workCoordinate final inspections and project closeout documentationEnsure customer satisfaction at project completionQualifications Required3+ years of project management experience in reconstruction or restoration constructionExperience managing residential and/or commercial rebuild projectsUnderstanding of reconstruction sequencing after mitigation workExperience with Xactimate or similar estimating softwareValid driver's license and ability to travel to job sitesPreferredExperience working with insurance carriers and claims-driven reconstructionKnowledge of building codes and permitting processesIICRC certifications (helpful but not required)Skills & CompetenciesStrong organizational and scheduling skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple projects at onceAttention to detail and cost-control mindsetLeadership and subcontractor coordination skillsStrong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilitiesWork EnvironmentA combination of office and field workActive construction sites and property inspectionsOccasional lifting, climbing, and construction site conditionsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experiencePerformance-based bonusesCompany vehicle or vehicle allowance (if applicable)Health, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement planPaid time off and holidaysOpportunity for career growthCompensation: $44,000.00 - $55,000.00 per yearBuilt on a foundation of great brands and employees with a passion for service, our vision is to be the leading provider of essential services through empowered people, world-class customer service and convenient access.
