Role Summary

In collaboration with the Store Manager, the Department Manager takes an entrepreneurial approach to driving store sales and the overall store experience. Their goal is to deliver an environment that is engaging and inspiring to the customer while fostering continual team development, creating a culture of excellence, creativity, collaboration, innovation, and trust.

Role Responsibilities

Brand Experience

• Actsas a brand representative reflective of the company values; collaborates with store leadership on the creation of an engaging visual experience that appeals to theReclecticcustomer
• Supportsthe Store Manager to elevate every aspect of the store experience throughoptimizing product flow,efficient store operations and visualmerchandisingtocreate a compellingatmosphere
• Cultivatesa welcoming and inclusive environment by being highly focused ondelivering genuinecustomer experiences that are engaging, efficient, and personalized; interprets customer feedback and team insights to positively improvestoreinteractions

Leadership + Team Management

• Takesan active role in recruiting, hiring, andretaininga diverse and engaged team; takes responsibility fortheirown development and professionalgrowth
• Providestimelyand specific employee feedback to create a culture of action and accountability;facilitatesa thorough and thoughtful onboarding for new hires,equitabledevelopment paths for all employees, and a focus on employeeengagement
• Assessesstaff scheduling needs andassistsmanagingteam availability, requests off, andidentifies employeeskill set to create an effective schedule that aligns with business requirements

Visual + Business Operations

• Collaborates with leadership team toassessproduct sell-throughandidentifystore successes and opportunities; effectively leads an empowered team to make strategic, creative, business-impactingdecisions
• Activelyholds team accountable toscheduling and timekeeping policy throughconsistentpayrollmanagement
• Increasesstore sales through a strong level of customer service,businessand key metric analysis, andmaintainingstock levelstooptimizeproductflow
• Maintains a well-organized,cleanand presentable building and championstimelyescalation of facilities/maintenance issues/technologyissues
• Interprets Home Office direction to impact store’s structure, presentation, and overall productivity to drive store sales.Providesfeedback to Store Managerto continuously improve operations.
• Adheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of thestore

Role Qualifications

• Passion for Reclectic brand and concept
• 3+ years store leadership experience
• Proven record of hiring and developing great talent
• Strong understanding of merchant process and ways it impacts the business
• Experience in coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store, including nights, weekends, and holidays
