ReceptionistChildren's Learning Centers of Fairfield County (CLC) currently has a full time position available for a bi-lingual (Spanish/English) receptionist who can effectively and efficiently oversee the front desk area, meet and greet all visitors and direct them to the proper department. Hours: 7-4 (1hr lunch) Mon-Fri.Principal Functional Responsibilities :Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person's visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate locationMaintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (verify ID, monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments.First point of contact for families requesting registration appointments (distributes intake packets, explains procedure, schedules appointments)Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including a fax machine, a copy machine, postage meter and a computerPerforms general clerical support tasks including data entry and filingOrder office supplies and keep inventory of stockAssist with tuition collection as neededHandle cash box collectionDistribute payroll checks to all location every two weeksOpen and close the building when necessaryNutrition Responsibilities:Print monthly menu and distribute to classroomsFacilitate classroom consumable orders from Food Service CompanyOrder consumable/cleaning supplies and keep inventory of stockAssist Kitchen Monitor with daily tasks as needed (prepare bleach/water solution, check refrigerator temperatures, milk check)Qualifications / Job RequirementsBilingual (Spanish/English) - RequiredMust be warm and pleasant to co-workers and all guests upon entering the building.High School Diploma or equivalentProficiency in various computer programs: Microsoft Office, Google WorkspaceExcellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills, bilingual (Spanish).Good to Have:Positive outgoing team playerPolite and friendly demeanorAbility to multi-taskMust love childrenMust be able to occasionally move between locations in Stamford.Benefits:Generous Time Off: up to 15 vacation and 12 sick days earned per year, 3 personal daysFederal HolidaysWeek between Christmas and New Year's DayWeather related closingsMedical/Dental/Life Insurance401k with Employer MatchOSHA and Mandated Reporter TrainingEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Additional Requirements:Must pass a Background Check and Drug Test
