Part Time Receptionist With On Lok Pace At The Institute On AgingIOA is on the forefront of revolutionary healthcare models, reshaping the way people can age in place. Rather than focusing on archaic outdated design, we strive to consistently question the "status-quo" and create new and more innovative ways to help aging adults and adults with disabilities maintain their quality of life.With over 23 programs, we offer multiple ways to aid seniors maintain their health, well-being, independence and participation in the community, fulfilling our mission.Part Time Receptionists with On Lok PACE at the Institute on Aging (16 hours per week, Wednesday & Thursday) The Receptionist is responsible for triaging all incoming telephone calls to the main line, program security, and a variety of clerical and administrative functions that support daily operations.Essential Job Functions:Answers the main telephone line for the On Lok PACE at IOA program.

Directs calls to staff and provides information and assistance to callers.Maintains the lobby area, in a neat, uncluttered, and safe manner.Helps to manage and supervise the arrival and departure of clients and visitors.Receives mail and deliveries ensuring they are received timely and appropriately.Program security responsibilities include security camera monitoring, controls access to the PACE program by Coronet housing residents, operates delayed egress alarm, and monitors WanderGuard alerts for client with wander-risk behaviors.Uses a variety of digital systems including electronic health record, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Microsoft Word, and more.Helps various departments maintain reports, records, forms, etc.Supports operational communications and assignments between Van Escorts, transportation team, Center Workers, the interdisciplinary team and PACE leadership.Actively participates in and encourages actions that promote good public relations with participants, their families and friends, visitors and the community.All other reasonably related jobs as assigned.Physical & Language Requirements:Ability to reach, bend and walkAbility to comprehend complex written material and verbal instructionsAbility to communicate and speak clearly in EnglishEducation:High school graduate with at least 1-year experience in customer service, clerical, or reception function.Background And Experience:One-year of experience with the elderlyLanguage capability – Cantonese requiredAbility to type 50 wpm accuratelyComputer literateGood oral and written English language skillsFlexibility and patience to work in busy, fast-paced team environment.Compensation:Range: $21.50 - $23.50/HourlyThis amount is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee, which is always dependent on actual experience, education and other factors.This range does not include any additional equity, benefits, or other non-monetary compensation which may be included.Institute on Aging reserves the right to revise job descriptions or work hours as required.
