Receptionist Position at Covello Older Adult CenterMake a meaningful impact this fall. Carter Burden Network (CBN) is seeking a full-time, bilingual (English/Spanish) Receptionist to join our Covello Older Adult Center as a leave replacement from mid-August through early December 2026 & a permanent full-time role. Our mission is rooted in compassion, community, and the belief that older adults deserve to live safely, independently, and with dignity.What You'll DoAs one of the two welcoming faces of the Covello Older Adult Center, you'll help keep daily operations running smoothly while creating a warm, supportive environment for participants, staff, and visitors.Front Desk & Participant SupportGreet older adults, staff, and visitors with professionalism and warmthAnswer phones, respond to inquiries, and relay messagesKeep the lobby organized, welcoming, and safeScan participants for congregate breakfast and lunchAssist older adults using the wheelchair lift or stairs when neededAdministrative & Clerical SupportPrepare monthly statistics, flyers, and program materialsCreate and count breakfast and lunch ticketsUpdate daily activity boardsSupport staff with photocopying, filing, data entry, and general office tasksAssist with overflow tasks such as VIVE unit entry, digital signage updates, and basic researchCommunication & CoordinationProvide accurate information about programs and activitiesCoordinate with program staff to share updates and announcementsOperate the intercom system as neededEnsure bulletin boards and communication tools stay currentWhat You BringBilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required)Strong communication and customer service skillsComfort working in a lively, people-centered environmentBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)Strong organization, attention to detail, and reliabilityA genuine interest in serving older adultsPreferred: Experience in customer service, office administration, or community-based work.Schedule & Work EnvironmentFull-time, 35 hours/week (non-exempt)One-hour unpaid lunch breakMust be flexible to provide coverage when neededOccasional evening or weekend hours with advance noticeWork takes place in a busy lobby within a four-story center (elevator and stairs available)Ability to remain seated for long periods and occasionally lift 10–15 lbsCompensation & BenefitsHourly rate: $16.88–$18.09, based on experience and internal equityGenerous benefits package, including:Multiple health and dental plan options (some 100% employer-paid)3 weeks paid vacation, 4 personal days, 10 sick days (first year)Paid holidays403(b) retirement plan with 3% employee contribution and potential employer match after 1 yearHow to ApplySubmit a single PDF addressed to Mara Carrasco, Program Director, including:Your resumeA brief note indicating your interest in the leave replacement roleQualified applicants will be contacted by a member of our search committee.
