ReceptionistThe Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization.Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs them to the appropriate locationAccept, screen and route telephone calls, directing inquiries as appropriate and/or providing information; Take detailed messages when desired party is unavailable.Act as backup to cover Receptionist at 29 West 56 office (across the street)Receive mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries, and sort and distribute items to appropriate associatesProvide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagementProvide assistance to the HR team as neededPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:A High School diploma or equivalent with two (2) years of related work experience or a combination of completed education and/or related work experience equal to two (2) years is required.Excellent verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsBasic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systemsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Able to effectively handle confidential and proprietary informationCommunication – able to effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner using preferred method and level as applicable to the jobCustomer Service – ability to respond promptly and courteously to all questions from students and faculty, demonstrating patience and persistence when helping students with little or no computer skillsDetail Oriented - Proven accuracy and attention to detailEthics – able to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, civility, and a high degree of ethics in all job-related actionsOrganization & Time Management – able to plan, schedule, and organize tasks related to the job to achieve goals within or ahead of established time framesSystems & Software - proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programsPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
