We are currently seeking a warm, professional, and service-driven Receptionist to join our team at Fellowship Village . Position Overview

Schedule: Every Other Weekend – 1st & 3rd Weekend of Each Month
Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay: $23.00 per hour

The Receptionist is responsible for providing a warm and professional experience to residents, families, visitors, and team members while supporting the day-to-day operations of the front desk. This position requires exceptional customer service, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain organized and professional in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Reception

  • Greet residents, families, visitors, and team members in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner
  • Determine visitors’ needs and notify the appropriate individual of their arrival
  • Provide prompt and courteous assistance to residents and guests
  • Answer questions and provide directions and information as needed
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional front-desk environment

Front Desk Operations

  • Answer, screen, and route incoming telephone calls
  • Take complete and accurate messages and distribute them promptly
  • Check voicemail and appropriately forward calls and messages
  • Perform general clerical duties, including data entry, photocopying, scanning, faxing, sorting, and distributing mail
  • Monitor office supplies and provide administrative support as needed

Security & Safety Awareness

  • Maintain awareness of activity throughout the reception area
  • Monitor appropriate security and resident-alert systems
  • Respond appropriately to alarms, doors, fire alerts, and other situations within the scope of the position
  • Notify appropriate personnel when additional assistance is required
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow established policies and procedures

Customer Service & Team Support

  • Provide courteous and efficient assistance to residents, families, visitors, and team members
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse population
  • Handle questions and concerns with professionalism and good judgment
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and team members
  • Remain flexible, resourceful, and proactive when unexpected situations arise

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one year of related experience in a fast-paced office environment , preferably in long-term care or healthcare
  • Previous receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and typing
  • Organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and professional
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Comfortable working with older adults, residents, families, and visitors
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Must be available to work the 1st and 3rd weekend of each month from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM receptionist job description 2
