Receiving CoordinatorThis position is responsible for receiving all product shipments within the Distribution Center. Activities will involve processing the receipt of medicines and medical supplies, data entry into the inventory management system, and placing product in the Distribution Center.ReceivingReceives incoming shipmentsData entry of product information in HELMTroubleshooting inconsistencies with data inventoryCoordinates receiving shipmentsMonitoring and unloading of shipmentsMonitoring for, and working with the inventory team to solve, inventory discrepanciesResponsible for quality control procedures for incoming shipmentsInventory received product and accurate placement using forkliftWork with 3PL companies on the storing and pick up of their productsOther DutiesBackup to order packing/large volume order processing on an as needed basisHelps maintain security of Distribution Center by monitoring access to and departures from the receiving and shipping departmentsResponsible for deadlines being met in areas of responsibilityMaintains a clean and safe work environmentCompacts/bails cardboardObeys safety and security policiesOperates forklifts and pick trucks safely and reports all equipment maintenance problems to their supervisorPerforms various Distribution Center housekeeping duties including sweeping and cleaning of floorsThis position will report to the Logistics & Inventory Supervisor and will be part of the Operations Team. The Receiving Coordinator will not have any direct reports.Education and/or ExperienceMinimum of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredOne to three years related experience and/or training, preferredOr equivalent combination of education and experienceOther Skills and AbilitiesExperience in details data entry into inventory management systems, preferredExperience in working with barcoding and scanners, preferredModerate level computer skills with Windows Operating Systems and MS Office SuiteForklift and pallet jack experience preferredFollow specific direction and complete orders as requestedPrioritize work and complete assignments on a timely basisKnowledge of general office machines (computers, printers, fax, copiers, etc.)Maintain accurate, legible recordsGood planning and organizational skillsExhibit a general knowledge of safety and security issuesWork harmoniously with supervisor and co-workersWork diligently and methodically with little supervisionDetail-oriented but flexiblePhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Position will require a person to lift and move boxes in excess of 30 lbs. Position required employees to stand, bend, crouch, twist the duration of their shift. Employee should be able to walk unassisted.
