Join this passionate and hardworking team and enjoy working in paradise.Our core values are:Be AuthenticPractice HumilityCultivate TeamworkValue TimeBe TrustworthyWe offer a very competitive salary and generous benefits including:Low-cost Medical, Dental, Vision PlansPaid Life InsuranceShort- and Long-Term DisabilityPaid Time Off & Holidays401(k) with Company MatchCommuter and Company-paid Toll ProgramsComplimentary Shift MealPosition OverviewThe Receiving Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all food, beverage, and nonfood deliveries are received, inspected and coincide with an approved purchase order; log all incoming/outgoing guest packages; maintaining an effective filing system for purchase orders and delivery status; conduct inventories on all storerooms and coolers to ensure adequate supplies for the resort in the absence of purchaser; and promptly review and fill all department requisitions.Essential Functions & Responsibilities (but not limited to)Making sure storerooms are stocked and ready for business every day.Help load and unload deliveries, moving items from the receiving area throughout the resort.Direct customer interaction with all vendors.Examine contents and compare work orders, POs, invoices to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.Direct communication with department leadership on deliveries using work devices such as hand trucks, moving bins, pallet trucks, platform trucks, dollies, and utility trucks.Answer department's phone and respond to vendors, guests, and employees' needs.Assist in the preparation of interdepartmental or external correspondence.Ensure training in proper receiving procedures to ensure freshness of products.Assist in month-end or quarterly inventories as required by supervisors.Assist in maintaining office supplies storage room.Attend training/meetings as required by management.Perform other duties as requested by management.Maintain cleanliness of the loading dock, storeroom, refrigerator, and freezer areas always.What Are We Looking For?Position requirements:Excellent communication skills with fluency in English required.Must possess a High School Diploma and progressive experience in hospitality.Ability to understand and utilize basic computer equipment and applications, including Microsoft 365 Office.Compliance RequirementsMust have a valid driver's license, motor vehicle background check will be completed.Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State regulations).Working Conditions – Physical/Mental RequirementsMust be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.Must be able to lift, up to 50 pounds.Must be able to work in hot/cold conditions in kitchens.Must be able to work in different types of weather sometimes extreme, including high temperatures and humidity.Must be able to work with hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch.Flexible schedule: days and times may vary based on need including weekends and/or holidays.Qualifications, Skills, & AbilitiesStrong organizational management and analytical skills.Innovative thinker that will challenge business processes and concepts to drive results.Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary.Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests.Must maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure.Schedule: Flexible, varies, to include weekend hours as neededCompensation: $19.00 - $19.00Pyramid Global Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
