Receiving AssociateThe Receiving Associate is responsible for daily duties relating to inbound freight and materials. Tasks include receiving, auditing, and handling of merchandise and materials. The Receiver may operate pallet rider or forklift and perform many functions of a warehouse including palletizing, stacking, auditing and inventory transactions.QualificationsHigh School diploma or GEDJob-related experience or job-related experience and higher education providing the technical skills associated with the position to establish comprehensive knowledge of warehouse systems.Requires experience in warehouse receiving and related inventory controlPrevious Forklift certification a plusProficient in the use of Windows based operating systems and MS OfficeModerate knowledge of warehouse operations related to receivingAbility to achieve high-quality standards and accuracy of functionWorking Knowledge of various warehouse types of equipment utilized; pallet rider, pallet jack, reach forkliftExcellent communication skills both written and verbalSkilled and effective at working efficiently to meet difficult deadlinesCan execute difficult tasks per established proceduresDemonstrated ability to monitor and track difficult tasks in a dynamic environmentCapable of being proactive by recognizing delays or issues and referring them to appropriate party for resolutionDemonstrated ability to assist others in completing work assignmentsEducation/ExperienceMust have High School Diploma or equivalentExperience using UPS, FedEx and DHL shipping systemsExperience packing product for shipping (Cartons and pallets)Prior warehouse and inventory control experience necessaryStock room, order pulling (both automated and manual methods) experienceExperience in cycle counting methods regarding inventory control
