Warehouse Receiver / Material Handler
This role focuses on accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting inbound materials while maintaining high inventory accuracy and a safe, organized warehouse. You will use material handling equipment and ERP systems to support efficient warehouse operations and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve receiving and inventory issues.
The schedule is Thursday-Monday OR Friday-Tuesday 8am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Receive inbound shipments and verify quantities, part numbers, and material condition against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documents.
- Unload trucks safely using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and promptly report issues to the appropriate departments.
- Accurately enter receiving transactions into ERP and inventory management systems.
- Label, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations to ensure easy identification and retrieval.
- Support inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and participating in inventory audits.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Logistics teams to resolve receiving, inventory, and documentation issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with company policies and 5S standards.
- Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and quality requirements during daily operations.
- Prepare and distribute receiving documentation and records as required.
- Assist with shipping activities, material movement, and warehouse projects as needed to support overall operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and process effectiveness.
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to accurately receive, count, verify, and document incoming materials.
- Strong understanding of inventory control processes and warehouse best practices.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy with careful attention to detail.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse material handling equipment safely.
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software for processing receiving transactions.
- Solid knowledge of proper material handling techniques to prevent product damage and workplace injuries.
- Awareness of warehouse safety standards and commitment to following all safety procedures.
- Strong organizational skills for labeling, stocking, and maintaining orderly warehouse locations.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Logistics teams.
- Problem-solving ability to identify and resolve receiving and inventory discrepancies.
- Quality-focused mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance with quality requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Hands-on experience with inventory management, inventory control, and warehouse inventory processes.
- Familiarity with cycle counting and participation in inventory audits.
- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset, contributing ideas to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain required certifications for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Comfort working with material handling tools such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and related equipment.
- Strong organizational habits that support 5S and other lean warehouse practices.

This is a Contract position based out of Hebron, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
