Receivables/Collections Specialist

Accounting SpecialistThe Accounting Specialist aids in processing claims and receivables and facilitating collections for AAA Moving and Storage. This is an in-person position at our Anchorage, AK facility.

Compensation will be $23-$25 per hour depending on experience.Essential Functions and Duties:Post receivables into accounting software subsequent to appropriate research of the payment.Process credit card payments for monthly storage after verifying invoices have been generated and posted to accounting software.Ensure collections efforts are conducting according to the regulations of the State of Alaska and the state within which the customer resides.Assemble paperwork to send to attorney for collection purposes, as needed.Work assigned shifts.Other responsibilities, as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of, or ability to learn, company softwareKnowledge of, or ability to learn accounting softwareStrong interpersonal skills for communicating over the phone and through writingKnowledge of accounting/general bookkeeping proceduresKnowledge and/or proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.Required Education and Experience:Required: High school diplomaPreferred: Prior receivables experiencePreferred: Prior collections experienceWorking Conditions:IndoorsOffice environmentSitting for long periods of timeFrequent use of telephoneFrequent use of computer100% of job must be completed at company facility
