1st Shift: Hours are 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM until 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are 6:00 AM until noon. Time and a half pay after 40 hours.
Whether you're a recent graduate fresh out of welding school or have 1-2 years of experience, we want to hear from you! United Concrete is looking for motivated Rebar Tack Welders to join our precast concrete manufacturing team.
Job Duties:- Tack weld rebar into cages, mats, and assemblies according to blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
- Position and secure rebar to ensure proper spacing, alignment, and dimensions for precast concrete forms
- Inspect welds and rebar assemblies for accuracy, quality, and structural integrity prior to concrete pour
- Operate MIG welding equipment safely and efficiently in a production setting
- Provide general labor support as needed
- Meet daily/weekly production quotas
- Maintain a safe and clean work space
- Perform general tasks around the production plant
- Be accustomed to a fast-paced environment
Requirements
Qualifications:- MIG Welding experience
- Open to candidates straight out of welding school or with 1-2 years of experience
- Prior experience in a manual labor environment preferred but not required
- Must have the ability to read a tape measure accurately and the ability to add and subtract
- Must have the ability to read and comprehend basic verbal and written instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Be dependable with respect to attendance and tardiness
- Protective toe footwear is required
