EDF Trading North America, LLC is part of the EDF Group, a global leader in low-carbon energies.The Real Time Trader will support the ERCOT desk in managing the power needs for our customers.

This position is responsible for tagging, scheduling, and mitigating risks on the ERCOT power grid. This role works a DuPont schedule, which requires working day shifts and night shifts.Responsibilities:Manage/mitigate risk for the asset ownersCapture market opportunities based on real-time positions and analysis of market conditionsConduct real-time trading and scheduling for purchases and sales of energy and ancillary servicesBuild relationships with market participantsCommunication of real-time market information to energy managers as well as cash and term tradersMaintain regulatory requirements with FERC and communicate directly with the ERCOT ISOProficiently collects, queries, organizes, and manipulates large amounts of data in Excel and accurately presents analytical resultsPrioritize deliverables and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlinesRequirements & QualificationsA minimum of a Bachelor's degree, a focus in Finance or Engineering preferredA minimum of (2) years of experience in the energy power sector is required; Real Time trading/operations experience preferredExperience with a variety of power markets preferred, including PJM, MISO, NYISO, NEPOOL, IMO, ERCOT, CAISO and WECC.Familiarity with emergency response procedures, including alternative work sitesProficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and WordStrong verbal and written communication skills required with experience or knowledge of three-part communication preferred.Basic analytical skills required for pricing, risk assessment, and transaction structuringProfessional judgment and sensitivity necessary to earn client and co-worker confidence.Note: EDF is an EEO employerWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified candidates will receive consideration for all positions without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.EDF participates in the E-Verify Employment Verification Program.EDF is not currently accepting unsolicited resumes from search firms.
