Litigation ParalegalCommercial real estate company in Santa Monica is recruiting for a litigation paralegal with a focus on real estate. This is a hybrid role, three days in office.Responsibilities:Prepare default notices, demand letters, termination notices, relocation notices, abandonment notices and all other notices required to enforce lease covenantsCorrespond with tenants and tenant attorneys to resolve AR issues and other lease and legal disputesPerform due diligence reviews of leases involving relocation rights, co-tenancy provisions, radius restrictions, no-build zones, termination rights, CAM language, permitted, exclusive and restricted uses and all other rights, remedies and controls of the lease partiesInitiate and monitor unlawful detainer and breach of lease actions and matters sent to collection agenciesPrepare litigation evaluations, analyze collectability, pursue enforcement of judgments and assist with tenant bankruptciesRespond to subpoenas for the company's business records, and implement and monitor legal holds to retain and preserve documents in connection with claims, litigation and e-discoveryNegotiate and document settlementsMonitor resolution of mechanics' liens and foreclosure actions, and provide legal support for construction defect litigationCoordinate with property management and leasing to assess and minimize legal risk and resolve legal disputesProvide daily legal support to all departmentsAll other duties as assignedBackground Required:Bachelor's degree requiredParalegal certificate from an ABA approved school requiredSubstantial law firm or in-house experience as a real estate paralegal preferably in litigation and/or commercial landlord/tenant lawStrong PC skills, including MS Office, MS Word, iManage, Excel and redlineFor immediate consideration email your resume to Thyra at
