The Merker Group is working with an Am Law 100 firm to find a mid-level associate with 3 to 6 years of Real Estate Finance experience to join the firm's office in Washington, DC, Baltimore or Tysons. This is an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions with a team that promotes early responsibility and client interaction.
The firm is offering a $50K sign on bonus with this role. This role is hybrid, with the expectation of 3 days in the office. The firm offers a manageable billable hour target as well. We have placed multiple attorneys into this group and have received very positive feedback.
Required Experience:
- 3+ years representing lenders, servicers, borrowers, and government-sponsored enterprises across a broad range of commercial real estate finance transactions.
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating loan documents, SNDAs, and subordination agreements.
- Experience with organizational documents, ground leases, survey, zoning, mezzanine loan documents, and related instruments.
- Experience with CMBS and stress debt a plus.
- Experience supervising and training junior associates.
- Experience with multifamily lenders and/or syndicated credit facilities, as well as transactions involving multifamily housing, affordable housing, and/or hotels.
- Prior Am Law 100/200 or boutique law firm experience.
- J.D. and excellent academic credentials.
- Active Bar license in the state in which you are applying.
