Mid-Level Associate AttorneyDirect Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm seeking a mid-level associate attorney to join its real estate finance team in either Orange County, California or New York City.This is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally recognized finance and real estate practice that counsels clients through complex, high-value lending transactions. You'll be part of a collaborative and experienced team that advises major institutional lenders and financial institutions on a broad range of commercial real estate finance matters.Key Responsibilities:Represent lenders in the structuring, documentation, and negotiation of construction, bridge, and permanent mortgage loansDraft and review loan agreements, mortgage documents, and other financing instrumentsConduct real estate and entity due diligence, including review of title, survey, organizational documents, and opinionsCoordinate closings and manage timelines across various transaction stagesCollaborate with attorneys, clients, and third parties to drive deals to successful completionQualifications:4–6 years of experience at a national or regional law firm representing lenders in commercial real estate finance transactionsStrong background in drafting and negotiating lender-side mortgage loan documentsAbility to take ownership of transactions and manage workflow independentlyTop-tier academic credentialsExcellent writing, communication, and analytical skillsAdmission to and in good standing with the California or New York State BarCompensation:The salary range for this position is $390,000 – $420,000, commensurate with experience and location.This is a premier opportunity for a driven real estate finance attorney to take on sophisticated matters in a dynamic and supportive environment, whether based in Southern California or New York.
