A law firm seeks a counsel-level attorney to join its Real Estate practice group in Cleveland, OH. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading sophisticated commercial real estate transactions from inception to closing.
Duties
- Draft and negotiate various real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and development agreements.
- Represent clients in acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, and leasing matters.
- Advise on real estate issues in mergers, acquisitions, and private equity investments.
- Conduct and manage due diligence, including title, survey, and environmental reviews.
- Support development projects across various asset classes.
- Negotiate construction and project-related agreements to manage real estate risk.
- Structure and document various real estate financing arrangements.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- At least eight years of relevant real estate legal experience.
- Active law license in Ohio.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and business judgment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States.
Education
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Certifications
