The selected candidate will provide subject matter expertise on infrastructure design and development for electronics R&D lab implementation supporting multigeneration product lines. Evaluate project requests independently from the perspective of internal clients and provide feedback to leadership on the viability, approach, budget, schedule. Manage the design, permitting, and construction of the projects through the use of established processes, experience, and expertise.

Need ability to manage cross-functional teams and workflows outside of the real estate and construction swim lane. Be assertive, with strong leadership and communications skills, demonstrated success at prioritizing multiple engineering needs with operational realities. Adept at partnering with key stakeholders throughout the vertical management chain in all aspects of design and construction.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day client interactions, relationships, and expectationsPartner with local integrated facilities management teamDemonstrate a deep understanding of facilities systems for clear communication of project needsPrepare agendas, develop and maintain master project budgets and timelines for each project and project phase, while gaining approvals from all relevant project stakeholdersPrepare and coordinate project reports and drawing reviews for clients, property/facility management team, and project team (as applicable) at conceptual, schematic, design development and construction phases of project.Assist in the selection, contracting process and oversight of consultants and construction teams as necessary for each projectReview requisitions, change orders and other invoices associated with the project and confer with client and property management on costs and impactsSupport the marketing of services to clients as requestedAdherent to corporate, building, and client policies and proceduresCooperate with other building/facility personnel to achieve goals and objectives as to quality, service, cost and profitReport on immediate supervisor's major problems and findings and results achieved with recommendationsAdvise and obtain the necessary approvals from the appropriate members of management of potential organizational changes, actions that might require additional commitments, and the need for expenditures in excess of approved budgetAdhere to government laws and regulations and established rulings of government authorities, including building codes, safety regulations, etc.Maintain high quality and quantitative standards of work performanceStrive constantly to improve skill and work knowledge; keep up to date on industry best practices.Display a working knowledge of MEP concepts, systems and designs in regard to manufacturing, data centers and laboratory environmentsResponsible for planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projectsEnsure the project plan, scope, work structure, schedule, and budget are maintained by all the involved parties (e.g., consultants, engineers, architects, vendors, stakeholders, etc.)Develop ROM level project estimates for funding approval based on project program documentsRegularly monitor the progress of all projects by completing site visits, tracking procurement activities, and reviewing GC weekly reportsSelect and manage project team and resources including subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and partners through bidding and vendor selection processesConduct project meetings (including taking and sharing minutes), track deliverables assigned in meetings, coordinate project updates/reports and draw reviews at conceptual, schematic, design development and construction phases of projectReview and approve requisitions, change orders and invoices associated with the projectOversee document preparation and completion (e.g., contracts, close-outs, punch lists, etc.)Adhere to company policies and procedures, obtain necessary approvals, understand local permitting processes and obtain final approvals and final acceptancePreferred ExperienceProject or construction management experience in a high-tech environment requiredDirect related experience in an engineering/construction project accountability roleProject management experience requiredHands-on experience with tenant improvement construction projects preferredExperience with managing technical infrastructure with respect to MEP systems preferred or any similar combination of education and experienceSolid understanding of the construction industry, terminology, codes, documentation, and design disciplinesStrong knowledge of Microsoft suiteFamiliarity with AI-integrated process workflowsProficiency with project management toolsWilling/able to travelStrong organization with proven leadership and interpersonal skillsAbility to perform duties under deadline pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentDetail oriented and thoroughExcellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skillsAcademic CredentialsBachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline preferredLocationAustin, TXThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
