Real Estate Associate - Real Estate Finance/Transactional
A highly regarded California law firm is seeking a talented Real Estate Associate with 4-8 years of experience to join its sophisticated Real Estate and Real Estate Finance practice.
This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys on complex, high-profile transactions involving a wide range of commercial real estate assets. The position offers significant client contact, meaningful responsibility, strong mentorship, and a realistic path to long-term advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent buyers and sellers in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements and related transaction documents
- Advise borrowers and lenders in sophisticated real estate finance transactions
- Conduct legal due diligence, title review, and transaction analysis
- Structure and negotiate complex commercial real estate transactions
- Manage matters involving a broad range of asset classes, including land, retail, industrial, and multifamily properties
- Collaborate directly with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel
- Lead transactions from initial structuring through closing
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership in good standing
- 4-8 years of transactional real estate experience
- Experience representing clients in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions and/or real estate finance transactions
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to independently manage complex transactions and client relationships

- Experience representing both borrowers and lenders
- Experience handling transactions across multiple asset classes
- Strong business judgment and client counseling skills
- Background in a sophisticated law firm real estate practice
