The role sits on the real estate acquisitions team of a megafund. They seek to hire an associate on the Real Estate Equity Investments team covering cradle-to-grave asset level investments.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting real estate investment opportunities across all asset classes. This is a small investment team and the associate will get responsibility across the entire life cycle of the deal.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the underwriting and due diligence of new CRE related investment opportunities across the capital stack
- Structure/Build detailed financial models and asset valuation tools to support investment decisions
- Forecast operating performance, financial projections and business plan scenarios for deal-specific underwriting
- Assisting with creating initial screening memos and final investment memos which will be presented before the Investment Committee
- Assist in the preparation of asset-level recommendations for senior management
- Prepare strategic plans for assigned properties and contribute to overall portfolio plans
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience of total work experience in real estate acquisitions role or in investment banking
- Significant financial modelling experience
- Advanced Excel knowledge, including ability to summarize data via formulas, lookups, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting, etc.
- Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical and problem solving ability
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
