Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services the Reading Specialist assists the district in implementing district and school-wide reading initiatives and provides professional development and technical assistance to classroom teachers across all school sites to strengthen literacy instruction and improve student reading achievement. The Specialist supports educators in implementing strategies that align with the Science of Reading, analyzes literacy data, designs tiered instruction to meet the needs of all learners, and performs related duties as needed. This is not a supervisory position.
