Reach Truck Operator
This role offers an opportunity to work in a brand-new distribution warehouse handling food and beverage ingredients, with strong potential for growth. You will operate a reach truck to move, load, and unload materials, accurately pick and stage orders, and support safe and efficient warehouse operations while maintaining high quality and customer service standards.
SHIFT: 3:30pm - 12am (Monday to Friday)
Responsibilities
- Operate reach trucks safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Pick orders accurately using pick tickets, following item number, size, quantity, and other specifications.
- Use RF scanning equipment to ensure accurate inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
- Manage pick ticket orders and maintain organized staging areas for outgoing shipments.
- Pull warehouse items from shelves based on specified criteria and ensure orders are complete and correct.
- Stage items correctly for delivery and prepare orders by picking, wrapping, and staging for shipment.
- Read and interpret incoming order requests and follow established procedures to fulfill them.
- Adhere to company quality standards and customer service expectations in all warehouse activities.
- Inspect forklifts and other material handling equipment regularly and perform basic maintenance as required.
- Identify and report safety hazards in the workplace and follow all safety protocols.
- Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods to maximize space and maintain organized inventory.
- Handle loading and unloading of materials, including palletizing, stacking, and material handling tasks.
- Follow OSHA regulations and internal safety policies, including wearing required PPE.
- Perform other warehouse duties as needed to support daily operations.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 1+ years of experience operating powered forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Proficiency operating reach trucks in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with loading, unloading, order picking, palletizing, stacking, and general material handling.
- Ability to use RF scanning equipment for inventory and order accuracy.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in order picking and inventory handling.
- Proficient math skills to verify quantities and reconcile inventory.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodations.
- Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and incoming order requests.
- Willingness and ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety policies.

- Demonstrated high regard for safety in the workplace and proactive identification of hazards.
- Experience working with RF scanners and inventory systems in a distribution or warehouse setting.
- Comfort working around food and beverage ingredients, including spices and coconut water.
- Detail-oriented approach to staging, wrapping, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Flexibility to perform a variety of warehouse tasks beyond equipment operation as needed.

Work Environment
The position is based in a brand-new distribution warehouse in Mickleton, NJ that handles food and beverage ingredients such as spices and coconut water. Nothing is manufactured on-site, but there is a noticeable spice smell, and team members should be comfortable working in this environment. Appropriate PPE must be worn at all times, and safety policies must be followed throughout the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mickleton, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
