What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the complete revenue cycle, including patient access, insurance verification, authorizations, coding, billing, payment posting, denials management, accounts receivable, patient collections, and revenue integrity.
  • Drive improvements in cash collections, clean claim rates, denial reduction, AR performance, reimbursement optimization, and overall financial outcomes.
  • Analyze revenue cycle KPIs, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective action plans.
  • Lead and develop billing, AR, and revenue cycle teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee denial prevention, appeals management, payer escalations, and revenue recovery initiatives.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, finance, compliance, and executive leadership teams to align revenue cycle strategies with organizational goals.
  • Develop standardized workflows, reporting structures, SOPs, and scalable processes to support future growth.
  • Manage vendor relationships, technology optimization, and system enhancements.

Ideal Background

  • 5+ years of progressive revenue cycle leadership experience with oversight of end-to-end revenue cycle operations.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, reimbursement methodologies, payer regulations, denials management, accounts receivable, and patient financial services.
  • Experience leading operational improvements and driving measurable financial results.
  • Proven success managing teams, developing staff, and implementing performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational and financial data and present actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working with EHR, practice management, and revenue cycle platforms.

Preferred Experience

  • Behavioral health, mental health, psychiatry, or outpatient healthcare experience.
  • Multi-site healthcare operations experience.
  • Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement.
  • Revenue integrity, denial prevention, and process improvement expertise.
  • Healthcare certifications such as HFMA, CRCR, CPC, Lean, or Six Sigma are a plus.
  • $140,000-$160,000 annual salary
