Working remotely as an independent contractor, the RCM Consultant will serve as the primary contact for insurance carriers and physician networks, verifying patient insurance eligibility, educating patients on benefits, and managing accounts receivable to optimize revenue cycle performance. Key responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact with insurance carriers and independent physician networks regarding reimbursement and contract matters Verify patient insurance eligibility and educate patients on their financial responsibilities Manage accounts receivable by following up on claims, resolving denials, and ensuring compliance with billing standards Required qualifications Experience in revenue cycle management or healthcare billing Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding Familiarity with insurance verification and claims processing Ability to analyze reports related to accounts receivable and revenue cycle performance Strong understanding of compliance regulations in billing and coding practices
