Authorization Team Lead

Location: West Long Branch, NJ, US

Full time, hybrid position.

Salary: $23.00 to $26.00 hourly

Responsibilities

• Assist the Revenue Cycle Manager – Authorization with the day‑to‑day business operations of the Authorization Department.
• Assist in the manual prior authorization workflow and in the Athena Authorization Tracker, which includes working the queue and coordinating with practices to efficiently process, monitor, and improve the prior authorization process.
• Provide experience with medical billing and fluency with information on insurance medical policies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of prior authorization procedures for various insurance carriers, including how to obtain them, the resources used in the process, and requirements across multiple insurance carriers.

Qualifications

• High‑school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of experience in Revenue Cycle.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
• Athena experience preferred.
