We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Lunchtime Supervisor at Reed City High School. This part-time position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for students during lunch periods. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with staff and students to promote positive behavior and enhance the overall lunch experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students during lunch periods to ensure safety and appropriate behavior.
- Assist in the distribution of meals and monitor food service areas for cleanliness and organization.
- Engage with students to foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere during lunch.
- Address any behavioral issues or conflicts that may arise and report them to the appropriate staff.
- Support students with special needs as required, ensuring they have a positive lunch experience.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to promote a supportive environment during lunch.
- Assist in the cleanup of lunch areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in education or child development preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to students of various ages.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with students.
- Must pass background checks as required by school policy.
- Availability to work during lunch periods on school days.
