Raw Materials Operator

We are seeking a skilled Raw Materials Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for operating Hammermills and Bico Towers to ensure a consistent feed of raw materials to the Paper Machine. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Operate Hammermills and Bico Towers efficiently.
• Inspect raw materials before loading to prevent contamination.
• Apply First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles when loading materials.
• Utilize computer software for operations and reporting.
• Clear jams on Hammermills and Bico Towers.
• Participate in quality investigations related to contamination and metal.
• Perform daily forklift inspections.
• Dispose of recyclable products, including cardboard.
• Replenish supplies in Bico, pulp, and other areas as needed.
• Keep tools organized on the shadow board.
• Communicate effectively with team members, including shift hand-offs.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge and experience with GMP principles.

Core Competencies

• Ability to read, understand, and communicate information clearly (verbal and written).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills (typing, file management, software navigation).
• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand tools.
