The resin technician tracks raw material inventories, orders, and receives materials, schedules deliveries to support plant production usage, and adjusts the plan as needed.Essential duties and responsibilities: Daily Inventory Verification and PlanningCheck inventoriesUpdate resin trackerCommunicate inventory levels with plant leadership teamUpdate RPP % target for extrusionReview resin consumption for the previous day – investigate potential areas of concernCommunicate with SUM to ensure correct blend of input materialsRPP percentages to targetTalc usage rate to line conditionMasterbatch rate to line conditionReview production schedule and verify orders and delivery schedules for:ResinBlowing agentsFilmMake changes to schedule if necessaryPerform other duties as assignedWeekly Inventory Verification and PlanningReview strategic raw materials plan with Extrusion Unit Manager and update resin trackerReceive Bills of Lading are completed correctly and filedPerform full raw materials and non-poly inventory.Any significant adjustments investigated and understood. Impact on supply analyzed where necessary.Monthly PlanningPlant scheduler and Resin Technician review demand for upcoming months. Coordinating with resin procurement, orders are adjusted based on any changes to the strategic plan.Extrusion Manager and Resin Technician review demand for the upcoming month.

Tools to use include MD04 and current raw materials on order. Output of this meeting is changes to existing raw materials orders (timing/cancellation/additions)GeneralSupport the safety program by performing work safely, reporting unsafe acts/conditions, following all health and safety rules, procedures, and instructions, reporting all injuries immediately to the Manager/Supervisor, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment in designated areas.Participate in and support mock recalls, internal audits, and NSF/BRC audits.
