Job DescriptionResponsible for the operational performance of their assigned area to continually meet production, preventative maintenance, and regulatory compliance targets while on shift.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesKnow, understand, and follow all Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements.Operate and certify in Raw Material Handling EquipmentPerform Lock out/ Tag out and issues safety permitsCreate and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.Assist Shift Lead and Safety department regarding safety and emergency measures and realization of safety and emergency plans.Operate and maintain a clean work areaRetrieve samples as neededParticipate in mandatory on-site and off-site training courses that include safety, regulatory requirements, handling of hazardous and volatile materials, and equipment repair and maintenanceTroubleshooting equipmentPerform incidental/preventative maintenance in operating areasMaintain compliance in mandatory training as per company specsPerform other duties assigned as neededQualificationsAdvanced knowledge of operational and industrial principles3 years of experience in production, maintenance, engineering and/or process improvement roles including leading teams of peopleMechanical aptitudeMinimum of 3 years' operating heavy equipment (Cranes, Excavators, Skidsteer, Dozers, Manlifts, etc.)Working knowledge in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)Must be able to walk long distances and stand and work for more than 2 hours in though environmental conditions (high temperature, high humidity, noise & dust) and withstand heights of up to 500 feet.Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
Skills will be used to produce quality reports and thorough instructions and directions.Must have reliable transportation to and from workMust have or be able to obtain a TWIC-card
