We are seeking a dedicatedNurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum tenens coverage in aRapid Care setting in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This opportunity offers thechance to care for patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and injurieswhile working alongside a collaborative healthcare team in a fast-pacedclinical environment.
The Advanced PracticeProvider (APP) will provide comprehensive patient care through assessment,diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of urgent and episodic medical conditions.The APP will collaborate with physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillaryteam members to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures,coordinating referrals and follow-up care, and ensuring high-quality clinicaloutcomes.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acuteillnesses and injuries
- Perform comprehensive patientassessments, including biological, social, and psychological evaluations
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostictesting
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Perform procedures within scope ofpractice and credentialing
- Coordinate care with specialty serviceswhen appropriate
- Provide patient education and dischargeinstructions
- Maintain accurate and timely medicaldocumentation
- Participate in the education of medical,nursing, and advanced practice students as applicable
Nurse Practitioner Qualifications
- Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursingprogram with a Master's Degree in Nursing
- National Certification through arecognized APRN Certification Center
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as aRegistered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia
- FNP or ACNP certification preferred
- Current American Heart Association BLS,ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
- PALS certification encouraged
Physician Assistant Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degreefrom an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Graduate of an ARC-PA approved PhysicianAssistant training program
- NCCPA certification required
- Licensed or eligible for licensurethrough the West Virginia Board of Medicine or West Virginia Board ofOsteopathic Medicine
- Current American Heart Association BLS,ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
- BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certificationsrequired
- PALS certification encouraged
Experience Requirements
- Acute Care, Urgent Care, or EmergencyMedicine experience preferred
- Eligible new graduates will beconsidered
- Strong clinical assessment anddecision-making skills
- Ability to work independently whilecollaborating within a multidisciplinary team
