This person is responsible for setting up and assembling test fixtures, various mechanical components and other laboratory tasks.

This position is located at Picatinny Arsenal.What will you be doing?Duties include:Loading of small arms ammunitionPreparing, measuring and disposing of ballistic targetsAssemble and set up, test fixturesOperate manual machine tools as well has hand toolsReport production status dailyPerform basic quality checks on machined parts using all types of micrometers, height gages, gage pins, and venire calipersBasic laboratory functionsBasic custodian functionsProviding support as required by the project officersWhat skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?This position will require the following skillsets and experience:Must be able to obtain a clearance through the DoD security background investigation processPass drug and alcohol testingMust have good mechanical skills and experienceMust be able to pass medical surveillance testing specific to job duties working with energetic materialsHigh standard of quality and efficiencyEffective communication and interpersonal skillsMust be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordinglyBasic PC knowledge (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Must be able to work in a physical capacity, lifting and moving heavy objectHave firearms and or machine shop experienceFirearms experience can be from military or law enforcement experience or hobbyist/huntingWill be required to handle small arms propellantMust be able to take and pass AMMO-45 online certification and appropriate safety training provided by the test facilityMust have a valid NJ driver's license and be able to obtain a government driver's licenseHigh School diploma required, College degree not required but beneficialPast or present military personal are encouraged to applyMust be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Security ClearanceUTRS is an Equal Opportunity employer.
