No experience necessary.ResponsibilitiesOperate machines to remove finished work pieces or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement according to required machining sequencesConfer with shift leads and managers to resolve machine malfunctions or production obtain approval to continue productionListen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problemsCheck to ensure that work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operationMeasure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixturesClean machines, tooling, or parts, using solvents or solutions and ragsAdjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunctionMonitor machine operation and control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctionsFollow work instructions to operate machine control units to start and stop operationReview program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished work piece dimensions, or numerical control sequencesHelp to maintain necessary inventory of manufacturing suppliesAssist with cycle counting of material to ensure inventory integrityQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred, but not required Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred, but not required Previous experience with machinery, basic machine set up, and small power tools preferred, but not required Must be able to read a tape measure Able to work and handle multiple job assignments, communicate in team setting, maintain a clean and organized work space.Preferred Education and Experience: Manufacturing/industry experience.Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.Why We are DifferentAt Lippert, Everyone Matters.
