Railroad Backhoe Operator
Pointer Smith Contracting Corp. is seeking an experienced Railroad Backhoe Operator to join our team at the Springdale, Arkansas yard. This is a hands-on role for someone who can safely and efficiently operate a railroad backhoe while also pitching in with ground crew work as needed.
Responsibilities
Operate a Railroad backhoe safely and efficiently to remove and install railroad ties, meeting a minimum production standard of 40 ties per 8-hour day. Perform morning equipment inspections before beginning work each day. Make minor equipment repairs as needed to keep operations running smoothly. Assist team members on the ground when the backhoe is not in use. Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience operating a Railroad backhoe is required. Reliable transportation to and from the Springdale, Arkansas yard office each day. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends. CDL is not required but is a plus.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday minimum, with possible weekend work as needed.
