Rail Bridge Engineer – Role Overview
In the role of Rail Bridge Engineer, we’ll count on you to:
- Serve in a technical role, under the direction of a Project Manager
- Oversee the work of EITs and Junior Project Engineers
- Prepare detailed engineering designs for rail projects
- Take responsibility for project involvement, ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in transportation design – railroad projects
- Preference given to local candidates
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
- Hands‑on experience with Microstation, OpenRail Designer, AutoCAD, and Civil3D
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
- Experience with MS Office software
- Excellent oral and written communication and project management skills
- Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture
Benefits and Compensation
The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions. Temporary and part‑time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Washington DC: $91,224–$130,320.
Locations
Primary: United States – Virginia – Vienna.
Other Locations: Washington DC; Glen Allen, VA; Baltimore, MD.
