In this role you will be:

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., chest, skeletal, fluoroscopy) in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Properly position patients and adjust equipment settings to obtain optimal images.
  • Ensure radiation safety by using protective measures and adhering to ALARA principles.
  • Verify patient identification and procedure orders before performing exams.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment; report malfunctions or needed repairs.
  • Upload and review images in PACS, ensuring they meet quality standards for interpretation.
  • Follow proper protocols for image storage, labeling, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members to ensure accurate, timely exams.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort.
  • Assist during emergency or portable imaging procedures as needed.
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete documentation in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards.
  • Stay current with continuing education, licensure, and certification requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
  • EDUCATION: Associate’s degree or higher of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • EXPERIENCE: 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
    • Registered with the ARRT within 6 months of graduation
    • BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
